Aerator water tank

Aerator water tank removes sulfur smell. Yep — that’s generally called an aeration tank or sulfur aeration tank.

Its job is to let hydrogen sulfide (H?S) gas escape from well water before the water is pumped into the house. That’s the gas responsible for the rotten-egg smell. We did not have sulfur water we used it along with a water softener.
